Before "the" CW, there was "the" WB, America's first pretentiously named TV network aimed exclusively and unapologetically at viewers under the age of 35.

And now it's back. On Wednesday, theWB.com will launch with a menu of old and new shows.

Just to give you some idea of what the new/old WB has in store, here are some of the series it owns the rights to stream over the Web: Angel, Babylon 5, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Everwood, Firefly, Friends, Gilmore Girls, The O.C., One Tree Hill, Roswell, Smallville and Veronica Mars.

To augment those youth-culture classics, theWB.com will throw a bunch of ideas against the wall and see which ones stick.

They include Sorority Forever, a sexy mystery described as Prom Queen meets The O.C. in college; A Boy Wearing Makeup starring newcomer Mathieu Francis (they're all newcomers) as "a boy who wears makeup and looks fabulous"; Whatever Hollywood, which looks like the girl version of the old Web favorite Nobody's Watching.

There will be a musical from the creator of Gossip Girl; a new show from the creator of Laguna Beach; a drama about female frenemies; a high school musical-type show; and a show that Brent Poer, the general manager of theWB.com, calls "the 90210 of Australia."

Poer says the site will have widgets and apps galore for kids to take WB shows and place them on their Facebook and MySpace pages.

I added some screencaptures of the Promotional Trailer for Alice: The Musical. There is also an article at DiscoverSD.com about the play and it mentions Ryan..

Scenes like “Song to Comfort You” performed by Ryan Hansen, long time actor who’s work as Dick Casablancas on the hit TV show, Veronica Mars, brings a hilarious portrait of vanity and false chivalry found in so many corners of popular media and well, life.
Other characters, like Piz and Chaz, who charmingly double as the two stooges Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum, played by Brad Davis and Sean O’Donnell from the award winning band Reeve Oliver charm us with witty quips; and the wailing front woman of Red Queen, Alice’s favorite band, is performed by Erika Jermasek, who has just finished her own jazz record with a voice that never fails to impress.

A source on the set of "We Got The Beat" go some Ryan scoop, he said that

"On the second day of filming the movie I was the last person left on set. Ryan waited with me until I got picked up. Just sat there and talked. He was awesome. I told him I was very upset about Veronica Mars being cancled. He said "ME TOO!" and I asked about the movie and he said they were working on getting that off the ground. THEN he said that He was just cast in a new Rob Thomas show. He said "It's not Cupid or Good Behavior. It's a top secret project!"

We might actually get Ryan back on are tv's every week. How great would that be? Lets cross are fingers it gets picked up!!
